Dr. Karen Emerson

Dr. Karen Emerson is a 2006 graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She resides in West Point with her husband Terry and two daughters, Haley and Lilly Kate. Her other family members are Bart, a double yellow-headed Amazon parrot she has had since she was eleven years old. She also has Ollie a Shih-zon (Shih Tzu/Bichon Frise), Marvin a Great Pyrenees, Montana a Quarter horse, and a herd of cattle: each one spoiled rotten.
She specializes in exotics and trained with Dr. Tom Tully at LSU. Her hobbies are audiobooks, singing in the choir at church, horseback riding and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Ashley Janzen
Dr. Ashley Plover Janzen is a 2018 graduate from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Janzen completed her bachelor’s degree from Montreat College in 2014. She originates from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but now calls Starkville, Mississippi home. With her husband, Matthew, they live with their pack of 4 dogs- Sansa, Tate, Molani and Sippi; 2 cats- Arden and Vic; 2 birds- Keiko and Switch; and their horse- Poco.
In her free time, Dr. Janzen enjoys bowling with her husband and going to any Mississippi State University sporting event.
Dr. Janzen has a particular interest in surgery, but loves to see any type of exotic as well. She looks forward to seeing your pets and helping them be as healthy as possible.
