February & March 2025 Orthopedic Special

February & March Bonus Special

15% off CCL & MPL Surgical Repairs

This weeks segment features Britley the 5 year old boxer mix!!! 🐾🦴 Britley came to us for surgery after several months of medical management of a cranial cruciate (CCL) tear in her left knee had failed. The CCL is a key ligament in the support of the knee joint of dogs. A CCL tear is a common orthopedic injury that can cause pain, instability, and lameness. Unlike in humans where athletics are the most common cause of tears, CCL tears are usually a result of increased body condition score (being overweight) or genetic predisposition. Symptoms include acute limping or favoring one leg, pain in the knee, swelling in the knee, and crepitus (clicking or popping sounds in the knee). Unfortunately in dogs with CCL tears, the knee can try to scar down with rest and time, but ultimately the leg never heals and leads to the devleopment of severe arthritis and continued instability in the leg. Britley underwent our extracapsular lateral suture stabilization (ECLSS) surgery and after 8 weeks of recovery and rehabilitation Britley is back to her normal self!!! For the months of February and March, ontop of our dental specials we will be offering 15% off of our CCL surgeries in addition to our patella luxation (MPL) procedures.
